Welcome Message from the Presidents of TSCRS

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

Welcome to the 2026 ISRS–TSCRS Joint Annual Meeting in Taipei.

This gathering marks two historic firsts: the first ISRS Annual Meeting held in Asia and the first joint annual meeting between ISRS and TSCRS. We are honored that Taiwan has been chosen to host this landmark occasion.

As a global leader in refractive surgery, ISRS has long advanced our specialty through excellence in education, innovation, and research. Through the renowned Journal of Refractive Surgery and its educational initiatives, ISRS continues to shape the future of refractive surgery. This Joint Annual Meeting continues that tradition by connecting leaders, innovators, and future generations of ophthalmologists.

More than a scientific congress, this meeting is a bridge—between East and West, experience and innovation, today’s achievements and tomorrow’s possibilities. It reflects our shared commitment to advancing refractive surgery through collaboration, education, and the pursuit of excellence.

We hope this historic gathering will be remembered not only as a first, but as a milestone in the evolution of refractive surgery.

On behalf of TSCRS, I sincerely thank all faculty members, participants, industry partners, and members of the organizing committee for making this event possible.

We look forward to welcoming you to Taipei.

Warm regards,
